Twitter Inc (NYSE: TWTR) co-founder and its former CEO Jack Dorsey is planning to create a new decentralized web that will be centered on Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC).
With his Block Inc (NYSE: SQ) subsidiary TBD, Dorsey aims to build Web5 based on Bitcoin and believes it will play an integral part in the evolution of the internet.
Following Dorsey’s announcement, Twitter is upbeat talking about the idea. One of his followers, @Namcios, tweeted about the TBD and Web5.
