Shiba Inu Drops Teaser for Upcoming Collectible Card Game

Popular canine-themed coin Shiba Inu (SHIB) recently teased their new upcoming video game. The teaser shows the silhouette of what appears to be a ninja or a warrior. Nonetheless, the video has created much buzz in the community.

Shiba Inu developer, Shytoshi Kusama, re-Tweeted the teaser with the caption, “GET IN POSITION.” Kusama also used the hashtag “CCG,” a collectible card game. Shytoshi also commented that he was pleased with the team’s response and cannot wait for people to see the complete vision a few months from now.

On the 29th of July, the team shared an emoji of a gaming console. Many were expecting an update on the game, and the release of the teaser followed this. William Volk, the lead developer of the game, has revealed that it will not be a typical card game, and it is expected to feature 10,000 Shiba Inu-themed collectible cards.

Furthermore, in May, Kusama revealed that the game would be ready for launch sometime in early September 2022, leaving only a month until launch. The developers stated that the goal was to prove that SHIB was not just a meme coin but had more utility than previously thought.

Other Shiba Inu developments

SHIB also revealed the launch of a new reward token named TREAT. Additionally, TREAT will replace BONE as the unique reward token, as the remaining BONE tokens will be used for Shibarium validators. Shibarium is the upcoming layer-2 for the Shiba Inu network, and it aims to reduce transaction costs and improve speeds.

Moreover, the team is also launching their stablecoin, Shi. Apart from that, fans are also eagerly waiting for SHIB: The Metaverse, which is another highly anticipated launch.

At press time, Shiba Inu (SHIB) was trading at $0.00001222, up by 5.3% in the last seven days.
